Yesterday, Duc Long Gia Lai (DLGL), the reigning Vietnamese champion, arrived in the Philippines to prepare for the 2014 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship.

The whole team showed confidence and great determination as promised in the departure ceremony that whether they win or lose, they will play their best to not disappoint the fans' expectations. There was only a small loss: after helping Maseco TP.HCM win the Dam Ca Mau Super Cup a few days ago, the main striker Tu Thanh Thuan showed signs of abdominal strain. Therefore, the possibility of this athlete entering the field in the DLGL shirt is still uncertain.
In the first match at 4pm tomorrow, April 8, DLGL will meet Zahra Club of Lebanon. This is an equal opponent, so coach Bui Quang Ngoc boldly set the goal of winning. And boss Bui Phap affirmed: "DLGL is ready to create surprises. In previous years, due to lack of funds and insufficient strength, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation sent the national team to replace the club's duties. This time, DLGL is determined to leave a strong impression at this playground."
