Telegram of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on urgent support for people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 and floods

Telegram sent to the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the following provinces and cities: Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, Phu Tho, Son La, Lao Cai, Da Nang, Lang Son, Cao Bang , Thai Nguyen; Heads of agencies and units under the Ministry.

The content of the telegram stated: Storm No. 10 made landfall in our country and greatly affected the lives, activities and production of the people in the provinces and cities where the storm passed. Storm No. 10 with very strong winds, wide range of influence, long duration of the storm, accompanied by very heavy rain over a wide area, caused great devastation, heavy loss of life and property.

Tourism businesses proactively respond and overcome storm No. 10

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 178/CD-TTg dated September 29, 2025 of the Prime Minister on urgently supporting people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 and floods, to urgently overcome the consequences of storm No. 10, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests:

Directors of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Departments of Culture and Sports, Departments of Tourism in the provinces and cities of Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, Phu Tho, Son La, Lao Cai, Da Nang, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen: Closely follow the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister, seriously implement Official Dispatch No. 173/CD-TTg dated September 22, 2025, Official Dispatch No. 174/CD-TTg dated September 27, 2025, Official Dispatch No. 175/CD-TTg dated September 28, 2025, Official Dispatch No. 176/CD-TTg dated September 29, 2025 of the Prime Minister.

Urgently inspect, evaluate, and review areas affected by the storm, proactively coordinate with functional agencies and local authorities to respond to and overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 and post-storm floods, mobilize resources, arrange necessary forces and means to provide maximum support to people and tourists affected by the storm as soon as possible in the spirit of not leaving anyone behind.

Focus on leading, directing, and reviewing all cultural and sports works, institutions, historical and cultural relics, scenic spots, tourist areas and spots in the area directly affected by the storm, and develop timely and quick recovery plans to ensure safety, integrity, and maintain the cultural and historical values of the works.

Direct press, radio and television agencies and grassroots information to report and update promptly on the situation, developments of storms, floods after storms, response and recovery work after storms in the locality. Coordinate with functional agencies and local authorities to mobilize and call on philanthropists and donors to donate and sponsor families and people directly affected by storms, promote the spirit of "mutual love and support", and support people in storm and flood areas.

Heads of agencies and units under the Ministry in provinces and cities directly affected by the storm, inspect and assess damage at the agencies and units, and review construction works and works under construction managed by the agencies and units, and immediately deploy response work and overcome consequences promptly and effectively.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library directed agencies, units and businesses in tourism and festival activities to review, compile statistics and develop timely plans to support people and tourists affected by the storm.

The Press Department, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, the Department of Grassroots Information and Foreign Information direct press, media and grassroots information agencies nationwide to organize information and propaganda on the situation and developments of storms, floods after storms, instructions of the Government, the Prime Minister and central and local authorities, and related information on support and donations for families and people affected by storms.

Directors of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Departments of Culture and Sports, Departments of Tourism, Heads of units under the Ministry in the above-mentioned provinces and cities assign leaders and officers to organize 24/7 duty to monitor, update and promptly support, respond to and overcome the consequences of storms in the area. Timely inform, synthesize and report on the response situation, damage and storm recovery work in the management field of the Industry before, during and after the storm to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (through the Ministry's Office) for synthesis and reporting to the Ministry's leaders.

Assign Deputy Minister Ho An Phong to directly monitor and direct the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Culture and Sports, the Department of Tourism and agencies and units under the Ministry to implement this Official Dispatch.
