Vietnam team trained with short staff
At District 7 Stadium (HCMC), the Vietnamese team continued to practice to prepare for the match against Nepal at Thong Nhat Stadium, taking place at 7:30 p.m. on October 14. On the afternoon of October 12, midfielder Hoang Duc returned to practice with the team after a day off.
Meanwhile, center back Tien Dung continues to be absent. The physical condition of the Viettel The Cong Club player is not guaranteed in this training session. Before the 3-1 victory over Nepal on October 9, he only participated in the official training session on October 8. As for the rest, the player born in 1995 practiced recovery at the hotel. In that match, he started but did not play the entire match, was substituted in the middle of the second half and is now absent in two consecutive training sessions. Therefore, the scenario of Tien Dung not playing in the rematch at Thong Nhat Stadium is entirely possible.

Young center back ready
If Tien Dung does not play, coach Kim Sang-sik still has many options as young players like Nguyen Nhat Minh ( Hai Phong Club) and Nguyen Hieu Minh (PVF-CAND Club) are in great shape. They practice confidently, show a fiery spirit and are extremely energetic. The form of this duo is also very good.

Nhat Minh (number 26) is left-footed and can play well in the left-sided center-back position currently occupied by Tien Dung.

Hoang Duc also shared about the young players in this training session: "In this training session, the coach called many U.23 players, this is a positive thing, preparing for these matches as well as the SEA Games at the end of the year. That creates good competition between old and new players."
