In Ho Chi Minh City, the highlight of the series of commemorative activities is a special art program with the theme of Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and Saigon Uprising Day at 7:30 p.m. on September 2 at three live TV broadcast locations: Nguyen Hue walking street, the new city's central park and Thuy Van square.

Hanoi will organize six high-altitude fireworks displays, combining low-altitude and pyrotechnics. Each display will have 600 high-altitude fireworks and 90 low-altitude fireworks. The display will last 15 minutes, from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on September 2.
