Due to the impact of two consecutive storms, Tuyen Quang province suffered heavy damage. Storm No. 10 alone caused an estimated loss of over VND4,300 billion, seriously affecting people's lives, traffic infrastructure, schools, hospitals and many public works.
Promoting the spirit of “joining hands for the community”, BIDV Vietnam Bank has allocated 1.8 billion VND from social security funds to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. The funds were allocated through 77 organizations and units, with support levels ranging from 20 to 100 million VND for the People's Committees of communes, wards, schools and hospitals.

This activity demonstrates the sense of responsibility and sharing of BIDV Ha Giang staff and employees, contributing to helping units and people soon stabilize their lives, restore production and living activities after natural disasters.

At the ceremony, more than 200 officers, civil servants and employees of the unit and 11 affiliated regional management boards raised nearly 60 million VND to support people in areas severely affected by storms and floods. The donations will be transferred to the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to promptly support households to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Luong Van Doan, Director of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, emphasized: “This is a practical activity with profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and affection of the unit’s staff and workers towards the people in the disaster area, contributing to joining hands with the whole country to overcome the consequences, soon stabilizing production and people’s lives.”

The above amount is a contribution from the collective leadership, staff and workers of Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and responsibility of the enterprise towards the community. Previously, due to the impact of storm No. 10, heavy rains occurred in Na Hang commune, causing flash floods and landslides, causing serious damage to property, crops and houses of the people. The whole commune has 397 households affected and damaged; nearly 80 hectares of rice and crops were flooded. In particular, villages 2, 3, 4, 7, 14 and Tan Lap, which are the "hot spots" of flooding in the commune, were put on red alert. The estimated damage is over 555 billion VND. Immediately after receiving the donation, the Fatherland Front Committee of Na Hang commune had a plan to allocate the money to help people quickly stabilize their lives.
