Officers and soldiers of Sinh Ton Island give gifts to fishermen taking shelter from storm No. 3

On September 5, officers and soldiers of Sinh Ton Island, Truong Sa District, Khanh Hoa Province presented gifts to fishermen of three fishing boats that took shelter from storm No. 3 on the island, before the boats left the island to continue fishing in the Truong Sa fishing grounds.

Previously, due to the impact of storm No. 3, 12 fishing boats with 62 fishermen had entered Sinh Ton Island to take shelter. During this time, officers and soldiers of the island regularly cared for and encouraged fishermen to overcome difficulties, continue to stick to the sea, stick to the fishing grounds and provided 12m3 of fresh water for the fishing boats.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, this morning (September 5), storm No. 3 continued to strengthen to level 16 (super storm level).

At 10:00 a.m. this morning, the center of the storm was at about 19.1 degrees North latitude; 115.5 degrees East longitude, in the northern sea area of ​​the North East Sea, about 490 km east of Hainan Island (China). The strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 16 (184-201 km/h), gusting to level 17, moving westward at a speed of about 10 km/h.

Forecast: At 10:00 on September 6, the storm will move in the West Northwest direction, speed of 10-15km/h, level 16, gusts above level 17; At 10:00 on September 7, the storm will move in the West Northwest direction, speed of 15-20km/h and gradually weaken, level 13, gusts above level 16; At 10:00 on September 8, the storm will move in the West Northwest direction, speed of about 20km/h and gradually weaken into a low pressure area, gusts above level 6.
