Directive of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman on organizing the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a directive on organizing the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, ensuring democracy, equality, legality, safety, economy and truly being a festival for all people.

The election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term will be held on March 15, 2026.

According to the Directive, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, sectors and localities to seriously deploy election preparation work, ensuring the correct progress, procedures and legal regulations.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission to promote widespread dissemination of the meaning and importance of the election; the rights and responsibilities of voters; and the role of National Assembly and People's Council deputies. The goal is to help voters fully understand, voluntarily and actively participate in the election, and choose truly exemplary, virtuous and talented deputies.

The Department of Home Affairs coordinates with the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and relevant agencies to advise the Provincial People's Committee on personnel work, consultation, and ensuring proper procedures.

The Provincial Police Department will coordinate with the Provincial Military Command to develop a plan to ensure political security and social order and safety before, during and after the election day. The Department of Health will prepare a plan to prevent and control epidemics; the Department of Agriculture and Environment will develop a plan to respond to natural disasters, ensuring the election takes place safely and smoothly.

The Department of Finance coordinates with the Department of Home Affairs to ensure timely and adequate funding for the election. The Provincial Inspectorate guides, organizes inspections, receives and promptly resolves complaints and denunciations from citizens before, during and after the election, ensuring that the election is conducted in accordance with the law.
