Embezzling more than 50 billion, former deputy director of a bank branch in Quang Nam was arrested

On October 30, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Nam Province Police announced that it had just issued a decision to prosecute and execute an arrest warrant to detain Vo Duc Bay (born in 1965, residing in Hai Chau District, Da Nang City) to continue investigating and clarifying the act of "Abuse of trust to appropriate property".

Previously, from 2014 to 2016, Vo Duc Bay was Deputy Director of Viet A Bank Hoi An branch, and borrowed more than 50 billion VND from many people.

Unable to pay his debt, Mr. Bay and his wife sold their house in Da Nang City and fled the area.

The Investigation Police Department of Quang Nam Province Police conducted a special investigation. Using professional measures, the unit discovered the exact residence of Mr. Vo Duc Bay in Binh Phuoc Province, a remote area near the Cambodian border.

On October 23, 2024, Quang Nam Provincial Police successfully dismantled the case and urgently arrested Vo Duc Bay.

During the struggle, the subject confessed to all his crimes.
