Nearly 6 billion VND in scholarships awarded to students of Banking Academy

The opening ceremony is a sacred moment, marking the beginning of a new journey, carrying with it aspirations, beliefs and responsibilities, an important milestone of more than 4,000 new full-time university students of the 28th course, students of the international joint training program, new graduate students and doctoral students who have been admitted to the Banking Academy in 2025.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Ms. Pham Thi Hoang Anh, Deputy Director of the Banking Academy, shared that today, the new students officially embarked on a new journey, a journey full of challenges but also many opportunities. Thank you for trusting and choosing the school to study and research in the 4 years of youth of your life.

Teachers will always accompany you, impart knowledge, share experiences and guide you on the path of personal development. Banking Academy will be the place to help your dreams come true.

Ms. Hoang Anh also confided that university does not teach you everything, but it will teach you how to learn, how to find answers to complex problems, so do not be afraid to ask questions, do not be afraid of making mistakes. Knowledge does not come from passivity but from curiosity and the desire to explore .

In the new learning environment, students must constantly study, practice their intellectual abilities, be proactive in research and creativity to master modern scientific and technological knowledge, meet the requirements of the new era, but at the same time preserve and promote national cultural identity.

Also at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Canh, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, sent congratulations to teachers and students of the Banking Academy, especially to the new students, graduate students and PhD students who were admitted to the Banking Academy for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Accordingly, in response to the general requirements of the country and the industry, the requirements for education, training, fostering and developing human resources are always urgent requirements and demands. The Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam requested the Banking Academy to focus on implementing well the 8 key tasks in the 2025-2026 school year as follows:

Firstly, thoroughly grasp the Resolutions and policies of the Party and State, focusing on implementing Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo right from the first days of the new school year.

Second, continue to focus on improving the quality of the school's human resources, especially the capacity of the teaching staff. Teachers are the decisive factor in the success or failure of innovation. Teachers not only impart knowledge, but are also shining examples, sources of inspiration, share experiences and guide students on the path of personal development.

Third, the work of assessing the quality of education continues to be carried out actively and effectively, correctly assessing the quality of training as a basis for determining the position and reputation of the academy in the region and in the world.

Fourth, improve the quality of scientific research, innovation, and technology transfer to both support teaching, enhance the prestige and position of the academy in scientific research activities, and fulfill its role as a policy advisor to the State Bank.

Fifth, promote international integration in education to learn from the best, narrow the gap, and spread standards; encourage joint training, program linkage, credit recognition, lecturer-student exchange, and attract international scholars; thereby enhancing the status of Vietnamese education.

Sixth, promote digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) in education. Turn technology into a driving force and agent for fundamental and comprehensive innovation in flexible teaching and learning, open learning materials, secure digital platforms, ensuring data security and safety, and enhancing digital capacity for lecturers, administrators, and students.

Seventh, there are solutions to increase reasonable and legal revenue sources to firmly maintain financial autonomy; strengthen management responsibility, reporting responsibility for financial work to ensure compliance with State regulations, publicity, transparency and efficiency; focus on improving the living standards and income of cadres and workers, especially the staff; continue to improve and modernize facilities to better serve the training and fostering tasks of the academy.

Eighth, strengthen student and youth work so that students can participate in many self-training and social activities. At the same time, strengthen the organization of job promotion activities so that students have the opportunity to access job opportunities...

Following the advice of the Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Huu Toan, Chairman of the Banking Academy Council, together with the staff, lecturers and students of the Academy, will strive to improve the quality and train high-quality human resources for society.

Along with that, the Academy promotes scientific research, innovation and technology transfer to serve teaching and policy consulting for the State Bank; prioritizes topics with international publications and applied research. In parallel, quality assessment work is implemented substantially, as a basis to affirm the position and reputation of the Academy in the region and internationally.

At the Opening Ceremony, the Banking Academy awarded nearly 6 billion scholarships to students. Of which, 10 special scholarships in the Banking sector were awarded to students with excellent academic and training achievements in the 2024-2025 school year; 78 scholarships in the Banking sector were awarded to students with good academic and training achievements in the 2024-2025 school year; 3 valedictorians were awarded, 3 valedictorians were awarded in the 2025 university entrance exam.
