This is also an opportunity for professional stage art units, including public and non-public sectors in Ho Chi Minh City, to exchange, learn and share experiences.

Currently, the team of authors in Ho Chi Minh City is no longer stuck in creative direction, in the way of receiving and explaining the conflicts of contemporary society and people. The proof is that through the script writing camps in recent years, the authors of the Authors' Association of Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association have had many good scripts promoted on the stages of Ho Chi Minh City theater.

It must be acknowledged that recently, socialized theaters have undergone a dramatic change. Many stages in Ho Chi Minh City have been lit up more frequently. Even the selective theater genre of hát bội has undergone many improvements.

However, according to experts, for many years and even in 2024, Ho Chi Minh City theater has lacked scripts on contemporary topics, on hot issues that are affecting many aspects, changing people and society in the integration period. Theater authors cannot avoid, should not stand outside the vibrant life that is taking place. The thorny issues of corruption and crime are affecting people and society in all aspects and threatening the value system. If the team of authors still stands aside, the revival of theater in 2024 will only stop at meeting entertainment needs, without a consensus to break through these limitations, so that theater can be a mirror reflecting life.

To do this, People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association, said that the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association is planning to gather young directors in the field of reformed theater to equip them with more experience and knowledge.

People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc hopes that the festival's Art Council will "separate the bad from the good" to select worthy, high-quality works that portray the appearance of Ho Chi Minh City's stage arts in 2024.

What has the theater world concerned is that recent theater festivals have been embroiled in controversy, not allowing very old scripts to participate. However, in order to keep up with the numbers, some organizers still "break the rules" to let troupes use old scripts, but in the end, they do not consider awards.
