According to the special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, on September 23 (local time), at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, the United States, President Luong Cuong delivered an important speech at the High-Level Debate of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly with the consistent message: "Honoring the value of peace , making strong changes to create a sustainable future."
The meeting was attended by nearly 150 Heads of State, Government and senior representatives of many member countries, along with many leaders of international and regional organizations.
Speaking at the discussion session, President Luong Cuong affirmed that peace is both the goal and the prerequisite for building a stable, fair, democratic and prosperous future.
President Luong Cuong called on countries to comply with international law and the United Nations Charter, respect independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, not interfere in internal affairs, not use force or threaten to use force, and resolve disputes by peaceful means.
Promoting a culture of peace through building trust, international solidarity, dialogue, and respect for differences, the President called for a ceasefire, an end to violence, the protection of civilians, and the creation of conditions for humanitarian access in conflict zones.
President Luong Cuong affirmed that Vietnam always makes every effort and stands side by side with all countries to shoulder common responsibilities, overcome challenges, promote strong transformation to create a world of peace, stability, prosperity and sustainable development, bringing happiness and prosperity to all people./.
