Since the beginning of the year, the Station has organized 15 sessions of instruction, propaganda, and transfer of science and technology to more than 1,500 participating farming households, focusing on contents such as planting techniques, care of spring rice, spring-summer corn, upland taro, and disease prevention and control for livestock.

Production management was carried out synchronously, bringing about many positive results. The three communes of Hanh Phuc, Phinh Ho and Tram Tau planted more than 1,450 hectares of winter-spring rice, 1,360 hectares of spring corn, 510 hectares of summer-autumn corn and 960 hectares of taro.
Of which, Hanh Phuc commune planted 562 hectares of winter-spring rice, 390 hectares of spring corn, 160 hectares of summer-autumn corn and 366 hectares of taro; Tram Tau commune planted 436 hectares of winter-spring rice, 745 hectares of spring corn, 280 hectares of summer-autumn corn and 262 hectares of taro; Phinh Ho commune planted 454 hectares of winter-spring rice, 225 hectares of spring corn, 70 hectares of summer-autumn corn and 332 hectares of taro.

In particular, implementing the direction of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lao Cai province on strengthening the prevention and control of animal diseases, the Station coordinated with communes to inspect and take samples of pigs and cows suspected of being infected. The results detected 6 samples positive for African swine fever, 2 samples positive for lumpy skin disease virus. As of August 28, 2025, 339 sick cattle had to be destroyed with a total weight of nearly 17.26 tons.

Faced with that situation, the Station mobilized all staff to the grassroots to coordinate with the Economic Department of the communes to spray 205 liters of chemicals, sprinkle 4,940 kg of lime powder to prevent the epidemic; together with the People's Committee of Hanh Phuc commune to set up a temporary quarantine checkpoint at Km 29, Provincial Road 174, and arrange livestock and veterinary staff to be on duty 24/7.
Up to now, the epidemic has been basically controlled, only concentrated in a few small outbreaks, with little possibility of spreading to other areas. The station also advised the People's Committees of communes to issue many documents directing the work of preventing and controlling livestock and poultry diseases in the area.
