After more than 2 weeks of operation (from September 22), the Hai Duong - Hai Phong HP15/HP16 train carrying people, officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers from Hai Duong station to Hai Phong station and vice versa has gradually come into stable operation.
According to the leader of the Hai Phong Railway Transport Branch, the number of passengers is gradually stabilizing at about 110 people/trip. After 2 weeks, about 70 passengers have bought fixed monthly tickets. The number of passengers traveling by train is usually the highest at the beginning of the week and on weekends.
The operation of the HP15/HP16 train pair has been stable, the trains run on time. Each train is assigned 9 officers and staff to serve the operation.
This train still applies incentives for all people with ticket prices and serves 1 free bottle of water, 50% discount on the first meal for each passenger.
Retail ticket price from Hai Duong station to Thuong Ly and Hai Phong stations and vice versa is 55,000 VND/ticket/trip, applicable to all people with travel needs.
Train passengers who buy round-trip tickets at the same departure and arrival stations (pay for both trips at once) will receive a 20% discount on the ticket price. Groups of 4 or more buying the same train will only pay for 3 tickets.
Train passengers who buy a monthly round-trip ticket will receive a significant discount. The price of a monthly round-trip ticket purchased at the station from October 2025 is 1.5 million VND/ticket, a reduction of more than 40%. After completing the monthly ticket purchase procedure, passengers will be issued a train pass (hard card) to travel by train.
The Railway Transport Joint Stock Company continues to coordinate with the Hai Phong Department of Construction to evaluate operations, improve operations, routes, optimize efficiency, and enhance service quality for people and officials, civil servants, etc. traveling from west to east of Hai Phong city.
Train HP15/HP16 runs from Monday to Friday every week
Train HP15 departs at 6:00 a.m. from Hai Duong station, arrives at Thuong Ly station at 6:55 a.m., continues from Thuong Ly station at 6:58 a.m. and arrives at Hai Phong station at 7:10 a.m.
On the return trip, train HP16 departs from Hai Phong station at 5:30 p.m., arrives at Thuong Ly station at 5:40 p.m., continues from Thuong Ly station at 5:51 p.m. and arrives at Hai Duong station at 6:35 p.m.
