Ho Chi Minh City Police begin accepting applications for driving tests and licenses at 3 locations.

Ho Chi Minh City Police officially accepts applications for testing, exchanging, and reissuing driving licenses at three locations at 252 Ly Chinh Thang (District 3), 8 Nguyen Anh Thu (District 12) and 111 Tan Son Nhi (Tan Phu District).

People are supported quickly and enthusiastically during the application process.

According to the records at the Road Motor Vehicle Driving License Examination and Issuance Team of the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC08) at 252 Ly Chinh Thang, Ward 9, District 3, from early morning, many people were present to do the procedures to change and reissue their driving licenses.

Here, traffic police officers of Ho Chi Minh City Police began performing new duties in place of personnel of the Department of Transport and Public Works (formerly known as the Department of Transport).

Mr. Ngoc Duong (residing in Go Vap district) said that this morning he came to do the procedure to upgrade his driver's license from C to D.

Before that, he had been informed that from March 2025, the City Police would receive and process the documents, so he was not surprised. The Traffic Police force enthusiastically supported him, and on weekends, there were few people coming to work, so everything went quickly and smoothly.

"I submitted my application online and it was returned, so I came here to submit it in person today. It was a quiet weekend, so everything went pretty quickly. The traffic police were also attentive and enthusiastic in receiving my application," Mr. Hung commented.

Today, in addition to the point of receiving application for driving test, issuance and exchange in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City Police also received work at the remaining two points including No. 8 Nguyen Anh Thu, Trung My Tay Ward, District 12 and No. 111 Tan Son Nhi, Tan Son Nhi Ward, Tan Phu District.

Many traffic police were deployed to support people on the first day the City Police took up their new job.

It is known that administrative procedures for granting and exchanging driving licenses will not change when the transfer is made between the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Public Security .

People can completely carry out procedures for issuing and exchanging driving licenses as usual as at direct reception points or through the National Public Service Portal.

To serve the people, Ho Chi Minh City Police will arrange 22 more points at the Police of 17 wards in districts, Thu Duc City where motorbike registration is being carried out and the Police of 5 central communes in the districts: Binh Chanh, Can Gio, Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, Nha Be (including Cu Chi town, Hoc Mon town, Tan Tuc town, Phu Xuan commune, Can Thanh town) to create favorable conditions to serve the people.

Regarding the return of driving license application results, the HCM City Department of Transport and Public Works will continue to carry out the process until March 31.

After March 31, if people have not received their driving license results, please contact the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport (63 Ly Tu Trong, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1) for instructions.

Previously, from February 24 to 28, officers and soldiers of Ho Chi Minh City Police participated in a training course to equip them with legal knowledge, professional procedures and practical skills in driver testing, with topics on legal regulations on testing and granting driving licenses.

In addition to the theory, students are also instructed to practice testing skills on simulators, testing grounds and public roads.

After completing the program, students will undergo testing, evaluation and be granted an examiner card if they meet the requirements.
