Speaking at the ceremony, Director Doan Hoang Minh congratulated Mr. Etienne Ranaivoson on his new position, believing that with his extensive experience, the new Consul General will make effective and practical contributions to the Vietnam-France Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, especially in consular cooperation.

The Director of the Consular Department affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Consular Department and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs) as well as the Vietnamese authorities will always accompany the Consulate General and create favorable conditions for the new Consul General to successfully complete his term of office in Vietnam.

The leaders of the Consular Department hope that the two sides will continue to coordinate closely, facilitate exchanges and travel between the two countries and strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

For his part, Mr. Etienne Ranaivoson thanked Director Doan Hoang Minh for taking the time to receive him and present the Consular Acceptance Certificate, and expressed his joy at the good developments in bilateral relations.

The new French Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City emphasized that during his term, he will continue to promote bilateral cooperation in priority areas such as economic , cultural, educational cooperation and especially consular cooperation in the context of increasing people-to-people exchange and travel between the two countries.
