New life in Cu Ty Chai

In recent years, the lives of the people in Cu Ty Chai village, where 100% of the Mong ethnic people live, have changed significantly. Along with the investment programs and projects of the State, the efforts of the people have brought a new look to this land.

Cu Ty Chai used to be known as one of the poorest villages in Cao Son commune. People here mainly depended on growing corn and rice on the fields to make a living.

The divided terrain and isolated transportation make it difficult to exchange and trade goods, and people here are stuck in poverty.

However, in recent years, thanks to the State's infrastructure investment programs, people's lives have had positive changes.

The road connecting Cu Ty Chai village with the commune center and neighboring areas was built to make travel and trade more convenient.

Not stopping there, livelihood support programs such as providing plant and animal varieties and training in farming techniques have helped people improve production efficiency and increase income.

Many households have changed their farming models, introduced new high-yield varieties into production or developed livestock and poultry farming to improve their lives.

In particular, the program to support the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses has brought great joy to many families in the village. New, spacious houses with sturdy metal roofs have now replaced the old, rickety wooden houses. This is not only a safe and cozy place to live, but also a motivation for people to work with peace of mind and stay attached to their homeland.

Mr. Vang Khoa’s family is one of the households that received support to build a new house. The house is in the completion stage. For Mr. Khoa, this is not just a place to live but also a place to make his dream of settling down come true.

“ Previously, my family lived in an old, dilapidated house. Every time it rained heavily, we had to move our furniture to avoid getting wet. Now, thanks to the government's support program, we have a new, spacious house. From now on, my family can work with peace of mind and ensure that our children can have a full education, ” Khoa emotionally shared.

Mr. Cu Dong - Head of Cu Ty Chai village happily said: Over the past two years, each year in the village, 4-5 households have escaped poverty. Last year alone, more than 50 temporary houses were demolished and replaced by new, safe and spacious houses. The lives of the villagers are still difficult, but thanks to the solidarity and efforts of the villagers and the support policies of the State, Cu Ty Chai village is increasingly improving.
