After two successful seasons in 2023 and 2024, the Hanoi Singing Contest 2025 officially launched, marking a breakthrough with many innovations in scale, form and international vision.
One of the most notable new features this year is the expansion of the contestants to the global level, welcoming contestants from all over the world , regardless of nationality. As long as they meet the conditions in the rules, every singer has the opportunity to shine on the stage of the Capital.

Journalist Nguyen Kim Khiem - General Director, Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Radio, Head of the Competition Steering Committee affirmed: "We want Hanoi Singing to not only be a playground for Vietnamese people but also a place where international friends can experience, love and spread the beauty of the Vietnamese language through music ."
Despite the international expansion, the Organizing Committee still requires all contestants to perform and communicate entirely in Vietnamese throughout the competition.
Since the preliminary information was announced, the Organizing Committee has received attention from many candidates in the Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia regions. The number of international registrations will be fully announced after the end of the enrollment period (October 25, 2025).
The panel of judges and leading professional advisors such as: People's Artist Quang Vinh, People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Ha Thuy, People's Artist Mai Hoa, People's Artist Thanh Lam, People's Artist Tan Minh, singer Anh Tho, singer Ho Quynh Huong, singer Khanh Linh, musician Le Minh Son... will sit in the hot seat of Hanoi Singing 2025.
This year, the competition format has been renewed. In addition to the competitions in 3 music styles: Chamber, Folk, and Light Music, contestants also have to overcome many creative challenges such as improvisational singing, remixing within a time limit, or performing with live instruments.

People's Artist Quang Vinh - Chairman of the Hanoi Music Association, Head of the Jury, affirmed that these factors promise to bring a dramatic competition, increase entertainment and interaction, and at the same time create opportunities for contestants to demonstrate many skills besides vocals, including stage reflexes, audience communication and personal image building.
According to journalist Thai Hang - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, to facilitate international contestants, the preliminary round allows remote submission of video clips, instead of having to be present in Hanoi. If they pass the preliminary round, international contestants will be invited to Hanoi to attend the semi-finals and finals, which will take place at an art space for students and young artists.
"The competition regulations for domestic and international candidates are completely unified, with the only difference being in the preliminary round to reduce geographical difficulties," said Ms. Thai Hang.
In particular, the song about Hanoi - the highlight of this year's Voice of Hanoi - will be reserved for the final ranking night (December 9, 2025). All contestants, including international contestants, will perform a song about the capital, both demonstrating their professional skills and spreading the love for Hanoi through music.
The Organizing Committee will award 1 Special prize worth 600 million VND (including cash and car), 3 First prizes (100 million VND/prize), 3 Second prizes (50 million VND/prize), 3 Third prizes (30 million VND/prize), and secondary prizes (10 million VND/prize).
However, according to the organizers, the greatest value does not lie in material things but in the recognition of experts and audiences, when contestants are affirmed in their abilities and talents and are accompanied and spread by media agencies.

Hanoi Voice, formerly Hanoi Television Voice, has long been a prestigious brand in the Vietnamese music scene. From this stage, a series of names have grown up and affirmed their position in the music industry such as: People's Artist Mai Hoa, People's Artist Hong Hanh, Meritorious Artist Phuong Anh, Meritorious Artist Minh Thu, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, singers Anh Tho, Ho Quynh Huong, Khanh Linh, Hoang Quyen...
