Compulsory land acquisition for the Duong Kinh - Kien Thuy New Urban Area Project

kien-minh-6 — The Party Committee and People's Committee leaders of Kien Minh commune directly commanded and mobilized people in Dai Tra Hong village to hand over the land before the forced eviction.

On October 17, Kien Minh commune organized the enforcement of land recovery decisions for 6 households and individuals whose land was recovered, and owners of assets attached to the land when the State recovered land to implement the Investment Project to build a new urban area in the Duong Kinh - Kien Thuy area (in the areas of Dai Dong and Dong Phuong communes, old Kien Thuy district).

The total area of land recovered is more than 12,770 m², belonging to Phong Quang village (formerly Dai Dong commune), Dai Tra Hong, Dai Tra Duc, Dai Tra Son village (formerly Dong Phuong commune), now Kien Minh commune. The enforcement was carried out in accordance with legal procedures and regulations, under the supervision of the Regional Procuracy 6 and local departments and branches.

kien-minh-2 — Kien Minh Commune arranged machinery to support leveling at the enforced area in Phong Quang village.

Previously, the People's Committee of Kien Thuy district (old) approved a compensation and support plan for households with a total amount of billions of VND. Of which, Mr. Nguyen Van So's household was compensated more than 967 million VND; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tan's household more than 484 million VND; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nui's household and related households more than 504 million VND; Mr. To Van Xuan's household nearly 295 million VND.

kien-minh-3 — The forces proceeded to move the belongings of Phong Quang village residents out of the enforced eviction area.

Thanks to good propaganda and mobilization work, the households of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nui (including 2 households with related rights) and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tan voluntarily handed over the land before the forced eviction. The local government also coordinated and supported the households to move their furniture and architectural objects.

Thanks to careful preparation, the enforcement process took place safely, seriously, publicly, transparently, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of the people.

kien-minh-4 — The support forces of Dai Tra village households (Kien Minh commune) agreed to hand over the site before the enforcement time.

With this result, the project site clearance work through Kien Minh commune has achieved positive results. Up to now, the commune has cleared more than 130 hectares of land, and some households and localities continue to propagate, mobilize, and strive to soon hand over the entire site to speed up the progress of the new urban area project in the area.

The Duong Kinh - Kien Thuy New Urban Area Construction Investment Project has a total planned land area of 240.6 hectares. Of which, Kien Minh commune has 133.5 hectares, involving 998 households, individuals and 2 organizations.

Kien Minh Commune Economic Department coordinated with Kien Thuy Regional Project Management Board to review the process and procedures for site clearance documents to serve the development of a plan to organize compulsory land recovery. Up to now, 2/3 phases have been completed.
