Congress of Delegates of the Veterans Association of Son Kien Commune for the 2025 - 2030 term

On October 17, the Veterans Association of Son Kien commune, An Giang province held the 8th Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030. Vice President of the Veterans Association of An Giang province Tran Thien My attended and directed the congress.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of the commune Vu Thi Thu Trang presented the congress with a banner.

During the past term, the Veterans Association of Son Kien commune promoted the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", upheld the spirit of solidarity and responsibility, and successfully completed the targets and tasks set forth in the Congress Resolution. The Association has developed an additional Veterans Club; currently manages 4 small and medium-sized enterprises; 100% of the branches have revolving capital contribution groups, helping members borrow interest-free or at low interest rates with a total amount of over 551 million VND, contributing to improving the lives of members.

Implementing the Government 's Program to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses, the Association mobilized 271 million VND in contributions to build 3 new houses and repair 2 houses for members in difficult circumstances. According to the annual assessment results, 100% of the branches completed their tasks well, of which 12% of the branches completed their tasks excellently.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Veterans Association of Son Kien commune strives to develop over 85% of eligible subjects to join the Association; strives to eliminate 100% of poor member households and 80% of near-poor households; no more temporary or dilapidated houses; register to implement at least 1 "Skilled Mass Mobilization" model each year...

The Congress announced the decision of the An Giang Provincial Veterans Association to appoint an Executive Committee of 17 comrades, a Standing Committee of 4 comrades; and to appoint comrade Pham Van Thao to hold the position of Chairman of the Son Kien Commune Veterans Association for the 8th term, 2025 - 2030.
