Regarding the Cua Can Lake and Duong Dong 2 Lake Investment Project, the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Agricultural Works and Rural Development said it is coordinating to hand over the forest land area that meets the conditions to start construction before October 30, 2025. At the same time, it is coordinating with the People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Zone to approve the first phase of compensation plan and complete the plan to utilize forest wood for appraisal and approval.

Regarding the Provincial Road DT.975 Project (section DT.973 - Phu Quoc Airport - DT.975 - DT.973), the Department of Construction of An Giang province said that the project started on September 24, 2025, and the construction site was handed over on October 2, 2025. The Department is coordinating with the People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Zone, the contractor and related units to speed up the progress, striving to complete it in December 2026.

For the project of undergrounding technical infrastructure in An Thoi and Duong Dong areas, the Department of Construction has coordinated with field survey units to agree on a plan to relocate the electricity and telecommunications systems and construction site; at the same time, urging electricity and telecommunications management units to urgently develop a relocation plan.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, out of a total of 16 projects and works serving the APEC 2027 Summit Week according to Decision No. 948/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, there are more than 1,120 hectares of land that need to be recovered, affecting over 4,000 households, of which about 3,100 households are eligible for resettlement.

The projects focus on water supply, transportation, resettlement areas and wastewater treatment plants. Currently, the measurement and counting work has been completed at 3 projects, the remaining 13 projects are in the preparation stage and will be implemented soon.

Concluding the working session, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung praised the efforts of the units in implementing projects to serve the APEC 2027 Conference, especially in proactively removing difficulties and obstacles.

He emphasized that the workload is still very large, requiring agencies, units, localities, especially investors to continue to speed up progress, implement with the most urgent spirit, give top priority, and "green flow" in all work.

For projects that have selected contractors, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested regular inspection and supervision of construction progress, and not to be subjective or negligent. Particularly, non-budget projects such as waste treatment, water supply, wastewater treatment... need to speed up progress in the spirit of "3 shifts, 4 shifts", "working during the day is not enough, take advantage of working at night".

The Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee requested the Phu Quoc Economic Zone Management Board to coordinate in submitting the results of investor selection for approval, ensuring that investors have sufficient financial capacity and experience.

At the same time, it is required that departments, branches and localities strengthen land management and construction order, prevent the construction of houses and planting trees while waiting for compensation; step up propaganda so that people clearly understand the socio-economic benefits that the projects bring, contributing to improving life and serving sustainable development...
