General To Lam inspects internal political protection work in Ba Ria-Vung Tau

On the morning of September 6, Inspection Team No. 1 of the Central Internal Political Protection Subcommittee, led by General To Lam, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Political Protection Subcommittee, inspected internal political protection work in 2023 at the Standing Committee of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee.

Participating in the inspection team were representatives of the Internal Political Security Department, Department III of Localities, Central Organization Committee; Assistant to the Minister, Ministry Office, Internal Political Security Department, Ministry of Public Security ; Central Steering Committee 35, Central Propaganda Department.

On the local side, attending were Mr. Pham Viet Thanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, representatives of leaders of inspected Party committees and organizations.

At the inspection session, Inspection Team No. 1 announced the decision and inspection plan and thoroughly explained the purpose, requirements, content, objects, methods and ways of conducting the inspection.

Speaking at the working session, General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, highly appreciated the preparation work and self-inspection content of the Standing Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee.

At the same time, it is emphasized that internal political protection work is a very important content in Party building work. Through inspection, we will evaluate what has been done and what has not been done; advantages, limitations, shortcomings; causes and lessons learned to strengthen leadership, direction and effective implementation of internal political protection work in the locality in the coming time, contributing to further improving internal political protection work nationwide.

To successfully complete the inspection program, General To Lam requested the Standing Committee of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee and the inspected units to coordinate, provide complete records and documents and proactively arrange working time for the inspection team to successfully complete the task.

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Pham Viet Thanh, Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee, accepted the instructions of General To Lam and the plan of the inspection team; at the same time, requested the inspected units to closely follow the plan, report outline, closely coordinate with the inspection team, honestly and fully implement the inspection contents... so that the inspection team can complete its tasks.

In the first working session, Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, briefly reported on the situation and results of internal political protection work in the province.

Inspection Team No. 1 of the Central Internal Political Protection Subcommittee will work in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province for 3 days, until September 8.
