The trend of checking in inside Tam Thang Tower in Ho Chi Minh City is causing a stir online.

(Dan Tri) - Last week, Tam Thang Tower - a new highlight at Bai Sau Park (Vung Tau ward, Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Vung Tau city) - became a check-in spot attracting young people.

If in the past, following the "Dali slope" trend, many people chose to take photos from a distance to capture the entire view of the tower, recently, young people have sought a new experience by going between the Tam Thang pillars to create different angles.

Wide-angle shots inside the tower not only highlight the scale of each pillar but also bring a modern, dynamic feeling, suitable for young people who love creativity.

Many people commented that the combination of unique architecture and natural light is an endless source of inspiration for creating photo sets. Some even said that they stayed from afternoon to evening to take photos from daylight to night, when the tower is brilliant with colored lights, bringing vivid photos.

Returning to the Tam Thang Tower area on the weekend, Mr. Hoang (Nha Be Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) was surprised to see that the tower had become a giant outdoor studio. Each pillar had young people posing with the hope of creating photos that were both unique and artistic.

Mr. Hoang was one of the first to spread this trend. When he first came to the tower, he did not intend to take photos, he just wanted to visit. He said: “Only when I entered the tower did I understand the architect’s intention. It felt like I was standing in the heart of a city with many modern skyscrapers, one of the things that our country is aiming for in the era of development.”

After being posted on social networks, his photo series received more than half a million views and thousands of comments, many people eagerly made appointments to check-in at Tam Thang tower.

According to Mr. Hoang, taking photos inside the tower is completely different from standing outside. The floor-to-ceiling shooting angles help to show off the architecture, and the natural light combined with mosaic tiles further accentuates the visual effect. The ideal time frame is from 11am to 2pm, when there are few people and good light.

“If you understand architecture, almost every corner is beautiful. Dark, dynamic clothes will help you stand out in the modern space of the tower,” Mr. Hoang suggested.

He also expressed his wish that the tower area would have security guards or cleaning staff on duty. When he returned just a few days after the ceremony, trash was strewn all over the tower. In addition, the tower is divided into many columns, out of sight, which can easily lead to inappropriate behavior.

"Having security guards on duty all the time will help maintain a safe space and keep the tower clean, creating the best conditions for visitors to experience and take photos," said Mr. Hoang.

As a son of Vung Tau, Mr. Nguyen Duy Khoi (born in 1996) also expressed his pride in this new project. On the weekend, he went to Tam Thang tower to take check-in photos following the new trend on social networks.

Mr. Khoi said that when he arrived at around 1pm on Saturday, the space was still quite comfortable to take satisfactory photos. However, at around 5pm, the tower was very crowded with many young people coming to check in.

Commenting on the project, Khoi shared: "When shooting from a low angle to a high angle, the architecture becomes even more massive, as if reaching straight up to the sky. The main gray-white color combined with sunlight highlights the solemnity and elegance of the project. The spacious square, paved with clean stone tiles, also helps the experience of visiting and taking photos become airy."

Tam Thang Tower and 12 other items at Bai Sau Park became a destination attracting thousands of tourists on the occasion of National Day September 2. Nearly a year after construction, the tower was put into operation, becoming a highlight in the square of more than 17,000m².

The architecture of the tower simulates the bow of a ship going out to sea, recalling the historical story of the three villages Thang Nhat, Thang Nhi, Thang Tam - places associated with the task of protecting the southern sea and islands.

143 reinforced concrete pillars ranging from 4.55m to 34m high are arranged in triangular rows, combined with mosaic tiled surfaces, creating a beautiful lighting effect both day and night. When lit up, the tower shines like a vibrant “forest of light”.

The square also has a water music stage, a fountain area, a lookout point, an underground service area... with a total investment of more than 1,100 billion VND, of which Tam Thang tower is a key project with an investment capital of 155 billion VND.
