In the last months of the year, the demand for electricity for production and daily life often increases, therefore, ensuring safe and stable electricity supply is of concern to the Electricity industry, implemented with many synchronous solutions.

Since the beginning of the year, the province has experienced complex storms and rains, affecting the operation of the power grid. In particular, in September, the impact of storm No. 3 and its circulation caused heavy rain, flooding, landslides in many places, and the power grid in the province was also affected by broken poles, collapsed poles, and damaged transformer stations. Phu Tho Power Company quickly deployed a solution, directing its affiliated power companies to mobilize all human resources, materials, and equipment to be present at the scene to repair and fix the problem. By mid-September, the basic power problems were resolved, and power was restored to customers.

It is forecasted that from now until the end of the year, the development of storms, floods, and natural disasters will still be unpredictable, complicated, and irregular, so ensuring a safe and stable power supply at the end of the year and being ready with plans to prevent and combat natural disasters is a priority for the Electricity industry. The Company has implemented synchronous solutions from technical management and operation to investment in grid construction. Conducting reviews and strengthening of the grid, upgrading and renovating overloaded and full lines and transformer stations; fixing defects on the grid to prevent incidents, ensuring sufficient capacity when the load increases, and minimizing power outages due to incidents.

Comrade Pham Van Chuc - Deputy Director of Phu Tho Power Company said: "The Company strengthens solutions to ensure safe and stable power supply for customers, strengthens technical management solutions, grid operation, electrical safety, reduces power loss, prevents subjective incidents, fire and explosion incidents, minimizes objective incidents in operation management. At the same time, accelerates the construction progress of power projects, continues to strengthen and repair the grid, and is ready to ensure stable power supply."

In the first 9 months of the year, Phu Tho Power Company's commercial electricity output reached over 3.1 billion kWh, an increase of 12% over the same period in 2023. Of which, the construction industry accounted for the largest proportion with over 62%; consumer management accounted for over 31%, the rest were other components. At the end of the year, businesses are entering the final production stage to complete the yearly plan as well as prepare goods for Tet, so ensuring power supply, especially in industrial parks and clusters, is very important.

Ensuring electricity supply related to electrical safety is also of special concern to the Electricity industry. Phu Tho Electricity Company actively promotes and disseminates safe and economical electricity usage measures to customers. Continue to spread the message "Saving electricity, making it a habit"; recommend customers to limit electricity usage during peak hours; regularly check and periodically maintain electrical equipment that has been used for a long time to promptly detect, handle or replace unsafe electrical equipment, prevent the risk of short circuits, leading to unsafety and loss of electricity.

In addition to the efforts of the Electricity industry, each person needs to raise awareness of using electricity safely, effectively, economically, and preventing fires and explosions to avoid overload and unsafe power grids.
