Offering incense in memory of the Tran Kings and the 725th anniversary of the death of King Tran Quoc Tuan

On October 11 (August 20, At Ty year), at the special national historical-cultural relic site of Tran Temple and Pho Minh Pagoda, Nam Dinh ward (Ninh Binh province), an incense offering ceremony was held to commemorate the Tran Kings and the 725th anniversary of the death of National Duke, Commander-in-Chief Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan (August 20, 1300 - August 20, 2025 lunar calendar).

In a sacred and respectful atmosphere, delegates reviewed the glorious feats of the Tran Dynasty and the great contributions of National Hero Tran Hung Dao.

725 years ago, General Tran Quoc Tuan, Commander-in-Chief of the Hung Dao Dynasty, led the army and people of Dai Viet to defeat the Yuan-Mongol invaders three times in the 13th century. He became an immortal Saint, revered by the people as Saint Tran.

The life and career of Duke and Commander-in-Chief of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan represents the tradition of steadfastness, indomitability, and the spirit of determination to fight and win of the Dai Viet people against all invaders; is a shining example of patriotism, love for the people, and for the great cause of the nation.

The "Proclamation to Soldiers" thoroughly understood the ideology of "Loyalty and Righteousness", pacifying the people, taking the people as the foundation was the core of the strategy to protect the country. With his outstanding political and military talent, Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan contributed to making the Tran Dynasty one of the most prosperous dynasties in the feudal history of Vietnam.

The Tran Temple Festival is the crystallization of a system of traditional rituals that are preserved and solemnly practiced, from palanquin processions to the holy worship rituals and incense offering ceremonies, all taking place in a respectful atmosphere. In order for the festival to take place solemnly, safely, and worthy of the national intangible cultural heritage, the organization work was deployed early by the People's Committee of Nam Dinh ward.

The incense offering ceremony to commemorate the Tran Kings and the 725th anniversary of Saint Tran's death is an opportunity for the Party Committee, government and people of Nam Dinh ward to express their sincere gratitude and determination to promote tradition, build Nam Dinh ward to be increasingly developed and strong, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals set out in the Resolution of the 1st Ninh Binh Provincial Party Congress.
