Sora 2, OpenAI's new AI video platform, is causing a global stir thanks to its ability to create incredibly realistic videos, sounds, and physical effects. The app allows users to upload their faces and voices to insert into videos, like an AI version of TikTok. The tech world is divided, with one side praising Sora as a “technical pinnacle,” while the other fears it is a “global deepfake machine.” OpenAI says it will soon add a safer content control mechanism for users.
“Sora is impressive, but we can’t say for sure that it will be as error-free as previous social platforms,” warns Harvard University professor Boaz Barak. Meanwhile, many experts say that OpenAI is conflicting between the ideal of "human safety" and the goal of profit. While controversial, there's no denying that Sora has ushered in a new era for AI video.
But the biggest question remains, can OpenAI control the “double-edged sword” they themselves created? Dear readers, please watch more videos: Iris scanning tool to verify human identity | VTV24
