The terraced fields here were reclaimed by the Mong people from the 1960s to the 1970s. In 2010, thanks to the State's support in reclaiming and solidifying the irrigation system, the rice field area continued to expand.

Up to now, the whole commune has about 900 hectares of terraced fields. People have known how to apply science and technology, put new rice varieties into production, improve productivity and quality of rice.
