The Da Nang - Hanoi route ranks 7th in the list of domestic flights with the cheapest fares in the Asia - Pacific region. Ho Chi Minh City - Singapore ranks 5th in the region with good fares of about 870,000 VND (36 USD). For transcontinental flights, Ho Chi Minh City - Melbourne (Australia) ranks 5th, with an average fare of 194 USD (more than 4.6 million VND).

Analyzing data from 130,000 flight routes, online travel booking platform Agoda compiled the best-priced flights booked from August 1 to 14 by passengers departing from Vietnam, Australia, Indonesia, India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Taiwan (China).

Passengers from Thailand and the Philippines have many ideal options for domestic airfares, the lowest from over 192,000 VND (8 USD). Next is Malaysia, with the Kota Bharu - Kuala Lumpur route selling the cheapest tickets at nearly 220,000 VND (9 USD).

In terms of regional routes, the cheapest flight is from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, with tickets selling for just $12. Second place is the Medan (Indonesia) - Penang (Malaysia) route, with tickets sometimes selling for just $20. Thailand is tied with the Philippines for third place with flights with the cheapest fares starting from $26, Manila to Hong Kong (China) and Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur.

The most affordable intercontinental routes are: Delhi to Dubai, UAE ($90); Perth - Kuala Lumpur ($117) and Bali - Adelaide ($157).
