Due to the impact of storm No. 11, the communes of Ba Be, Cho Ra, Vinh Thong, Tan Ky, Yen Binh, Cho Moi... suffered heavy damage to traffic infrastructure and agricultural production.

Prolonged heavy rains caused landslides and flooding on many roads, disrupting traffic and making travel difficult. Many areas of crops and trees were deeply flooded and severely damaged.

In particular, electricity, clean water and communication works were seriously affected, with power poles broken, transformer stations submerged in water, and power lines broken, causing power outages, water shortages and communication interruptions in some areas.

To stabilize production and life, functional forces and essential infrastructure units are urgently troubleshooting and making efforts for early recovery.

According to the Ba Be Regional Power Management Team, heavy rains have left more than 2,800 customers without power. The communes most affected include Ba Be, Cho Ra, Phuc Loc and Bang Trach.

Immediately after the incident, the unit mobilized maximum manpower and equipment to urgently inspect and repair the locations of tilted, fallen, landslide-prone electric poles and replace damaged meters. By 5:00 p.m. on October 8, the unit had restored power supply to more than 2,000 customers, reaching over 70% of the total number of affected households, with priority given to power supply to residential areas and production and business establishments.

Mr. Trieu Duc Tung, Deputy Head of the Ba Be Regional Electricity Management Team, said: The unit is mobilizing maximum human resources and means, coordinating with local authorities to soon complete the restoration of power supply, serving people's lives and production after the flood.

In Cho Moi commune, the central area of the commune has been restored to electricity, however, some villages and hamlets are still without electricity. The Electricity Department is working to fix the problem to soon supply electricity to the entire area.

Communes such as Dong Phuc, Tan Ky and Thanh Thinh have been completely restored, ensuring service to people's lives and production.

Mr. Tran Manh Cuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cho Moi Commune, said: Previously, people in the areas of Nhu Co and Quang Chu mainly used water from drilled wells, so when there was a power outage, water pumping was interrupted, causing difficulties in daily life. However, in terms of trade, the routes in the area have basically been cleared.

The collapsed electrical works have been planned for early repair.
Broken electrical works have been planned for early repair.

Up to now, most of the communes in the North of Thai Nguyen province, the areas heavily affected by storm No. 11, have basically had their electricity restored. Clean water and communication are also gradually being restored.

To soon stabilize life and restore production, local authorities are focusing on directing agencies, specialized units, and local forces to stay close to the grassroots, support people to overcome damage; at the same time, strengthen propaganda to ensure electrical safety during the rainy and stormy season...
