Athletes run through 37 unique landmarks and structures of Hanoi

Along with the development in scale and influence, this year's season marks an important step forward in the organization, with the highlight being the adjustment of the competition route to improve the experience for athletes. Specifically, the two distances of marathon (42.195 km) and half marathon (21.1 km) will have the race route adjusted to ensure competition safety and minimize the impact on people's daily activities. Traffic coordination and control activities will also be implemented synchronously, under close coordination between the organizing committee and the authorities, aiming for a professionally organized, orderly and effective event.

With reasonable adjustments in operation, this year's route will take runners through 37 unique landmarks and constructions, from places associated with cultural and historical depth to modern highlights, clearly reflecting the multi-dimensional development of Hanoi. Through each step, participants not only conquer their physical limits, but also have the opportunity to explore a Hanoi that is changing every day, where traditional values still go hand in hand with a creative and constantly moving lifestyle. The Hanoi International Marathon is therefore not simply a race, but also a journey connecting sports, culture and tourism, contributing to spreading the image of the capital as a dynamic destination, rich in identity and loved by the international community.

Mr. Pham Xuan Tai - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi City said: "The 4th Hanoi International Marathon is one of the key sports activities of the capital after the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, contributing practically to promoting the spirit of sports and improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people. Over 3 seasons, the event has attracted more than 26,000 athletes, affirming its sustainable attraction and widespread influence throughout the community at home and abroad. We acknowledge and appreciate the positive impacts that the event brings, and at the same time commit to continue to closely coordinate with the organizing committee to ensure professional work and competition safety. This is also part of the long-term orientation of Hanoi City in connecting sports, culture and tourism, in order to contribute to promoting the image of a modern Hanoi, rich in identity and deeply integrated with international friends".

In addition to the official race distances, the 4th Hanoi International Marathon also offers exciting sideline activities, taking place throughout 3 days, from October 3 to 5. The highlight of which is the Kids Run, a race for young athletes from 5 to 14 years old with 2 distances: 3 km and 1.5 km.
