“I am a swimming coach at Anh Vien Swim Club and this event is not too difficult for me. On average, I swim 100m in a pool for about 1 minute and 20 seconds, but today swimming in the ocean took more time because of the big waves and strong winds. This tournament was very interesting, I will try to participate in the next tournaments and in more challenging events,” Ngoc Anh shared after winning first place.

Olympic Aqua Warriors content

Athlete Tran Van Thap, from Ha Dong Runners Club, impressed when he won the Olympic Aqua Warriors championship in his first time participating in an Aqua Warriors tournament.

“I was also very surprised because this was the first time I participated in a tournament that combined swimming and running, while my forte is running distances. Today in the swimming competition, I finished behind many people, but luckily I shortened the gap before breaking away from my opponents in the running competition. I feel very happy to have won the championship,” athlete Tran Van Thap expressed.

Notably, Tran Van Thap also won the Full Marathon championship at the Aqua Warriors Quang Tri 2025 tournament held last July when he was among the few Vietnamese athletes with a pace of 2 (2 minutes 55 seconds) on the track.

Le Thi Loan, from Ho Chi Minh City, finished first in the women's Olympic Aqua Warriors event. After her victory, she said: "I am a member of the Dolphin School Club. I have participated in many biathlon competitions but this is the first time I have participated in the Aqua Warriors.

Yesterday, I flew here from Ho Chi Minh City and competed in the relay race. I am very happy and tired. I feel like I have conquered a high mountain. I have trained for three months straight before the tournament. This is the longest distance I have ever competed. Compared to the race in the South, in Quang Ninh it is very windy and sunny."

For me, finishing was a success. Winning the championship was beyond my expectations. Before finishing, I performed at the finish line to enjoy my achievements throughout the race, not to look down on my opponents. I practice quite regularly but have been quite busy lately. I thought I wouldn't be able to compete, but in the end I signed up at the last minute. I'm very happy."

Athlete Hanh Nguyen (full name Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh), a familiar face in Aqua Warriors competitions from Hanoi, continues to prove her class with the championship in the Full Aqua Warriors event.

“In previous tournaments, I only competed in Sprint or Olympic events, and was lucky to come first or second. This time, I wanted to try the more difficult event, Full Aqua Warriors, and I was very happy to be the first female athlete to cross the finish line.

Today, the swimming part was a bit difficult because of the strong current and big waves, so I tried to stay in the first group and then broke away thanks to my strength on the running track. The Aqua Warriors tournament was organized very professionally, thank you to the organizers for having a very interesting playground for everyone," athlete Hanh Nguyen shared.

Ultra Aqua Warriors Content

Vo Minh Tai (18 years old, Da Nang) excellently finished first in the men's Ultra Aqua Warriors category. "I feel very happy and excited to experience such a long distance. I had cramps after running 6km, but when I received encouragement from the organizers and volunteers, I felt more motivated. Before this tournament, I was confident that I could reach the top 3.

Throughout the journey, I competed fiercely with athlete Du (top 2 overall). I won the championship in the swimming event at the Aqua Quang Tri tournament. In the past time, I have devoted all my efforts to training for 3 weeks with very high intensity. In the morning, I practiced running, then swimming. In the afternoon, I practiced supplementary training and long swimming. Today, I swam wrongly and lost about 300m to my opponents, but fortunately, I came back in time. I will continue to train to participate in long distances like this tournament."

Tran Ha Trang from Hai Phong Swimming Club won the women's Ultra Aqua Warriors championship. Ha Trang was called a "warrior" by everyone, showing her iron will when she reached the finish line before collapsing and having to seek medical help immediately.

After nearly 15 minutes of rest, Ha Trang could not hide her emotions and said: “There were times when I thought I would have to give up, but thanks to the encouragement of the pacemaker, teacher Ta Thi Ngoc Quynh, as well as my efforts in training over the past 3 months, I was able to reach the finish line. This championship is a very memorable experience for me.”

Notably, Ha Trang is a former national swimming team athlete and just retired in 2023. “My forte is swimming, I have never competed in a running race, but I have tried to practice running for the past 3 months. I did not think that I would finally conquer the most difficult event at Aqua Warriors this time,” Ha Trang added.
