
The annual race “Run for love 2025” took place at 5 a.m. on September 28 with the participation of 2,000 athletes, including 330 visually impaired athletes.

Athletes competing in the 10km distance start at 5am, and the 5km distance starts at 6am.

Before that, at 2am in Hanoi, there was a light rain and luckily for the athletes, at the time of the competition, the weather was cool and the new sunlight shone brightly on the space around West Lake.

In particular, the race has the participation of children in the Kid run competition.

Children compete in the 5km race with adults, while those participating in the 1.5km race have their own separate race.

This year’s race continued to see the participation of many visually impaired people, including many young athletes. They successfully completed the 1.5 km, 5 km and 10 km distances.

Tran Cong Dat (right) leads a blind athlete in the 5km race. He is a passionate runner and has participated in many big and small races in Hanoi. To ensure they reach the finish line together, the two tied a rope together.

His colleague Nguyen Tat Son (left) also took charge of leading blind athlete Ta Dinh Han to the finish line successfully. They are members of an athletics club in Hanoi, present at most races nationwide in recent years.

Anh Quan was the first male athlete to finish the 5km race, leaving many competitors behind.

Ms. Nguyet Giang prepared a small flag to celebrate when reaching the finish line.

Although competing in a short distance of only 5 km around West Lake, many people showed that they had overcome their limits when successfully reaching the finish line. The event was not just a simple running race but also carried a profound humanitarian message, encouraging the spirit of healthy living, beautiful living and spreading love.
