BHG - The young faces bearing the scars of congenital deformities seem to have had their childhood "stolen". Some children have had cleft lip and palate since birth, some have cramped hands that cannot hold a spoon to eat, some have crooked legs that have never been able to run or jump. Poverty and hardship have surrounded many families, making them think of giving up. But then, a ray of hope was lit when the children were brought to the Provincial General Hospital to participate in a free examination, consultation and surgery program organized by Center II of the Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children in collaboration with central hospitals and sponsors.
From June 23 to 27, hundreds of disabled children in the province were examined by professors, doctors, and excellent doctors from the following hospitals: Bach Mai, Viet Duc Friendship, Xanh Pon, Central Children's Hospital, Central Eye Hospital, and the medical team of the Provincial General Hospital for ear, eye, maxillofacial, burn scars, movement, and urinary abnormalities. Of these, 160 disabled children received free surgery. Thanks to the hands of dedicated doctors, a journey of revival for unfortunate children has begun, so that their small dreams can gradually come true. Accompanying the program is Thien Tam Fund under Vingroup Corporation, who quietly contribute to making miracles in the lives of children.
