Working group of the Provincial Center for Disease Control came to support Viet Hong Commune Health Station
Due to prolonged heavy rains causing widespread flooding, Viet Hong Commune Health Station suffered heavy damage. The station's fence completely collapsed, many medical equipment, supplies, and professional records were soaked in water, causing damage, seriously affecting the work of medical examination, treatment, and epidemic prevention. Some specialized equipment such as sprayers, generators, vaccine storage cabinets, etc. were also damaged and could not be used anymore.
As soon as they arrived at the station, the working group coordinated with the local medical staff to urgently organize cleaning, sanitizing the environment, rearranging equipment and supplies, disinfecting the entire campus and stabilizing the functional rooms to quickly restore the operation of the Medical Station.
Working group of the Provincial Center for Disease Control came to support Viet Hong Commune Health Station
To support the work of preventing and fighting epidemics after natural disasters, the Provincial Center for Disease Control has provided Viet Hong Commune Health Station with some essential supplies and chemicals such as 25 kg of alum to purify water, 3,420 Aquatabs water disinfectant tablets, 01 liter of Fendona to serve the work of water treatment, disinfection and environmental sanitation after floods. In addition, to help the station maintain professional activities in conditions of lack of equipment, the Center has arranged for Viet Hong Commune Health Station to temporarily borrow some equipment including 01 shoulder sprayer, 01 generator and 01 vaccine storage cabinet. The arrangement of temporary borrowing of these equipment is to ensure that the Station can continue to carry out medical examination, treatment, vaccination and epidemic prevention and control during the period of overcoming the consequences of storms and floods.
After a day of actively implementing support activities, by the end of October 1, Viet Hong Commune Health Station had basically overcome the consequences of the natural disaster, cleaned the facilities and started receiving and treating people in the area again.
The timely and practical support from the Provincial Center for Disease Control not only helps the Viet Hong Commune Health Station quickly stabilize its professional activities but also demonstrates the sense of responsibility and companionship of the Provincial Health Sector in the work of disease prevention and control, protecting public health after natural disasters. This is also a great source of encouragement to help grassroots health workers be more confident in performing the task of taking care of people's health.
