Attending the conference were Tran Thi Kim Nhung, a full-time member of the National Assembly's Committee on Law and Justice ; and representatives of relevant departments and branches.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and contributing many opinions on 4 draft laws in the fields of science and technology. In particular, regarding the Law on Digital Transformation, delegates said that it is necessary to clarify the content of the concepts in the law; clearly define the responsibilities of ministries, branches and localities in building and managing digital infrastructure; supplement support mechanisms for small and medium-sized enterprises in the digital transformation process; and propose specific regulations on information security standards and data security.

Regarding the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Technology Transfer, many opinions suggested that it is necessary to perfect regulations on intellectual property valuation in technology transfer activities, strengthen preferential policies for high-tech application projects, and at the same time have mechanisms to encourage domestic enterprises to receive, master and innovate technology.

Regarding the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Intellectual Property, delegates emphasized the importance of protecting copyright and related rights in the digital environment; proposed adding clearer regulations on handling violations of intellectual property rights in cyberspace; and strengthening coordination between state management agencies and enterprises in protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights.
Regarding the Law on High Technology, many opinions proposed the need to supplement the list of key high-tech fields in line with the national development strategy, encourage the formation of high-tech zones associated with innovative enterprises; at the same time, pay attention to the mechanism to attract and treat high-quality human resources.
Speaking at the conference, Tran Thi Kim Nhung, a full-time member of the National Assembly's Committee on Law and Justice, highly appreciated the delegates' dedicated and practical opinions.
The opinions will be compiled and reported to the National Assembly Standing Committee and relevant agencies for absorption and completion of draft laws and resolutions before submitting them to the National Assembly at the upcoming session.
