Reconnaissance Team No. 1 steps up propaganda against IUU fishing

On October 23, Reconnaissance Group No. 1 (Coast Guard Command) coordinated with the authorities of Van Don Special Zone (Quang Ninh province) and Ha Long Border Guard Station (Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard) to organize propaganda against illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing and carry out mass mobilization work "Coast Guard with ethnic and religious compatriots" in Quang Ninh.

At the program, propagandists informed people about the situation of seas and islands, the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, the Vietnam Coast Guard Law, legal regulations, and responsibilities in protecting aquatic resources.

On this occasion, Reconnaissance Group No. 1 presented 80 gifts to policy families, people, ethnic minorities, and students with difficult circumstances who strive to study well; presented 240 books, 80 photos of Uncle Ho, distributed more than 900 propaganda leaflets of all kinds, presented 400 national flags, 15 medical bags, 60 raincoats, and 30 flashlights to fishermen in Quang Ninh.
