Comrade Vu Dai Thang re-elected as Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term

On the afternoon of September 26, at the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term XVI, 2025-2030, comrade Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, term XIII, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term XV, 2020-2025, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation was re-elected as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025-2030, with 55/55 votes, reaching 100%.

The Executive Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term XVI, was launched.

Comrade Vu Dai Thang was born in 1975 (hometown: Phu Dong commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi city, now Phu Dong commune, Hanoi city); qualifications: Master of International Relations (WASEDA University, Japan), Bachelor of Economics, Bachelor of Law; Senior in political theory. He held the position of Director of the Department of Economic Zones Management, Ministry of Planning and Investment; Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province, term 2010 - 2015. In 2016, he was elected as an alternate member of the 12th Party Central Committee. In March 2018, he was appointed by the Prime Minister as Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.

In August 2020, the Politburo assigned and appointed him to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Binh province. In October 2024, he was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Previously, the 16th Congress of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, elected 55 members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the term 2025 - 2030.

At the first meeting, the Provincial Party Executive Committee elected the Provincial Party Standing Committee consisting of 15 members; elected comrade Vu Dai Thang as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee including comrades: Trinh Thi Minh Thanh (Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, term XV, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for the 2021 - 2026 term), Bui Van Khang (Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, term XV, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term), Vu Quyet Tien (Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, term XV).

The Provincial Party Executive Committee elected members of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission for the 16th term. Mr. Vu Van Hoi, member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, was elected as Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission for the 16th term.

At the launching ceremony of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term XVI, 2025 - 2030, comrade Vu Dai Thang thanked the Congress for its trust, confidence and confidence in the new Executive Committee. The 16th Executive Committee will devote all its spirit, intelligence, strength, solidarity and determination to successfully fulfill the important tasks entrusted by the Congress and the people; commit to jointly maintain solidarity, unity, and unanimous leadership, direction and organization to successfully implement the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress. The focus is on building a truly clean and strong Party and political system; promoting the strength of solidarity, intelligence, mettle and aspirations of the entire people. The province promotes innovation, digital transformation and green transformation for rapid and sustainable economic development; identifying high-tech processing and manufacturing industry, tourism and modern comprehensive services as important pillars; create breakthroughs in strategic infrastructure, high-quality human resources and administrative reform. Quang Ninh focuses on building culture and people, ensuring social security, improving people's lives; maintaining national defense and security, expanding foreign relations, building a rich, civilized, happy province, striving to become a centrally-run city before 2030.

At the meeting on the afternoon of September 26, the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Congress elected a delegation to attend the 14th National Party Congress.
