Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee of the Youth Union Anh Dung emphasized that with 45 years of age and more than 20 years of revolutionary activities, regardless of his position, comrade Tran Dang Ninh has always been a shining example of intelligence, moral qualities, and tireless dedication to the Party, the country and the nation. His contributions to the Fatherland are forever respected and appreciated by our people. In recognition of his great contributions and contributions, the Party and State posthumously awarded him the Gold Star Order, the First Class Independence Order and many other noble medals.
Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee, Anh Dung, also affirmed that the shining example of revolutionary morality of comrade Tran Dang Ninh will forever be the pride of the Inspection sector, adding strength to generations of inspection cadres today to continue to strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks, contributing to building our Party to be truly clean and strong, leading the country into a new era, an era of national growth.
Reviewing the great contributions of comrade Tran Dang Ninh, Major General Nguyen Trong Thien, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Logistics and Engineering, Vietnam People's Army, shared that during his work, in any circumstances, comrade Tran Dang Ninh remained steadfast, absolutely loyal to the revolutionary cause of the Party, wholeheartedly keeping the iron heart of a communist soldier, overcoming all difficulties and hardships, successfully completing all tasks assigned by the Party, Uncle Ho, and the Army.
He set a shining example of organizational discipline, strictly obeying the organization's orders and assignments; having a kind heart, full of compassion, imbued with Ho Chi Minh's humanitarian ideology. He followed well the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, always loving and respecting the people, wholeheartedly serving the people, loving and valuing his comrades and teammates.
Major General Nguyen Trong Thien emphasized that, promoting the tradition of previous generations, officers, soldiers and workers in the General Department of Logistics and Engineering today will continue to promote the spirit of initiative, creativity, self-reliance, determination to successfully carry out political tasks, promptly ensure logistics and technical materials, meet the requirements of building the Army, consolidating national defense, firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam; building the Army Logistics and Engineering sector and the General Department of Logistics and Engineering to be revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern.
According to Mr. Nguyen Chi Vien - Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Ung Thien commune, the 115th anniversary of the birth and 70th anniversary of the death of comrade Tran Dang Ninh is an opportunity for us to review the glorious revolutionary tradition, remember and deeply appreciate the great contributions of comrade. At the same time, affirm the will and determination to continue the revolutionary path that comrade and generations of fathers and brothers have worked hard to build. The life, career and shining example of comrade Tran Dang Ninh are the pride and invaluable spiritual assets of the Party, the nation and the homeland of Ung Thien.
From a printer who was enlightened about revolutionary ideals early on, he became the Secretary of the Northern Regional Party Committee, the one who laid the foundation for the Army Logistics work and especially the first Chairman of the Party's Central Inspection Committee. In any position, he demonstrated steadfastness, diligence, thrift, integrity, impartiality; resolutely fought against corruption, embezzlement, and negativity, contributing to maintaining the purity and strength of the Party and the revolutionary government.
"Those are the qualities that President Ho Chi Minh highly praised and are also profound lessons of current significance for us today," affirmed the Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Ung Thien commune.
On behalf of the family, Mr. Tran Tuan Quang, son of comrade Tran Dang Ninh, expressed deep gratitude to the Party, State, Army and people of the homeland for always respecting, preserving and promoting the spiritual and moral values of comrade Tran Dang Ninh, the pride not only of the family but also of the homeland and country.
Mr. Tran Tuan Quang shared that the memorial site for comrade Tran Dang Ninh in Quang Nguyen village, Ung Thien commune, Hanoi city was built by contributions from the locals and agencies. On every occasion of comrade Tran Dang Ninh's birth anniversary and death anniversary, people gather here to review his life, background and career; remind all descendants, especially the younger generation, to learn and promote the good traditions of the previous generation.
Comrade Tran Dang Ninh (real name Nguyen Tuan Dang) was born in 1910, in Quang Nguyen village, Quang Phu commune, Ung Hoa district, Ha Dong province (now Ung Thien commune, Hanoi city).
Inheriting the patriotic tradition of his homeland and family, he was soon enlightened with revolutionary ideals, joined the Indochinese Communist Party at the age of 26, and devoted himself to the struggle from the very first days of the revolutionary movement for national independence. From a secret printer, he became an outstanding leader of the Hanoi workers' movement and in 1939 was appointed to join the Hanoi Party Committee. In 1940, comrade Tran Dang Ninh became Commander of the Bac Son Guerrilla Team, directly commanding the Bac Son Uprising.
In 1945, he joined the Vietnam Liberation Army Command with General Vo Nguyen Giap. In August 1945, he joined the Uprising Committee, headed by comrade Truong Chinh. After the August Revolution, comrade Tran Dang Ninh was assigned to hold important positions such as: Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Bac Ky Regional Party Committee. On October 16, 1948, General Secretary Truong Chinh, on behalf of the Party Central Committee Standing Committee, signed the Resolution to establish the Central Inspection Committee - the first specialized inspection agency of the Party, with comrade Tran Dang Ninh as its Head.
Under the talented leadership of comrade Tran Dang Ninh, the Central Inspection Committee has successfully completed many important tasks assigned by the Party Central Committee and Uncle Ho, including the H122 Spy Suspect Case, the Southern Chemical Case, the Colonel Tran Du Chau Case, etc. In 1950, comrade Tran Dang Ninh was assigned the position of Director General of the General Department of Supply (now the General Department of Logistics and Technology of the Ministry of National Defense). With a high sense of responsibility, he directed the unit to organize the timely and adequate supply of food, weapons and ammunition to the troops, making an important contribution to the victory of the Border Campaign and other major campaigns of our army and people.
The great contributions of comrade Tran Dang Ninh to the revolutionary cause of the nation have always been remembered by our Party, State and people. The Party and State posthumously awarded comrade Tran Dang Ninh the Gold Star Order, the First Class Independence Order and many other noble medals.
His name was given to a street in Hanoi, a street and a ward in Nam Dinh (now Ninh Binh) and a street in Dien Bien province. Four public schools, including a primary school, a middle school, a high school in Hanoi and a middle school in Nam Dinh (now Ninh Binh) were named after Tran Dang Ninh.
In 2003, on his family's land in Quang Nguyen village, Quang Phu Cau commune (now Quang Nguyen village, Ung Thien commune, Hanoi), a memorial site was built for him. In 2013, the Monument to Communist Soldier Tran Dang Ninh was built on the campus of Tran Dang Ninh High School (Hanoi).
