Dong Nai: Support 5,074 billion VND for poor households to develop the economy

On the morning of October 15, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province organized the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress of Dong Nai province, period 2025-2030.

The congress was attended by nearly 500 delegates, including central and local guests, appointed delegates and typical advanced collectives and individuals.

The Congress was honored to receive a congratulatory flower basket from Comrade Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President , First Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council.

In the period of 2020-2025, the patriotic emulation movement of Dong Nai province has had many positive changes and has become a widespread mass movement. Specifically, the movement to join hands to build new rural areas has 67/72 communes meeting new rural standards (93.05%), 25/72 communes meeting advanced new rural standards (34.72%), 8/72 communes meeting model new rural standards (11.11%).

The locality has many widespread models such as: Donating city and village affairs, golden land; small and big matters, people take care of everything; lighting up country roads or border patrol roads to contribute to ensuring security and order in border areas.

Discussion with typical advanced individuals

For the movement For the poor - No one is left behind , the locality maintains many models of solidarity and mutual assistance, contributing revolving capital, helping 1,732 poor households borrow capital of VND 5,074 billion to do business and develop the economy . Dong Nai also mobilized cash and in-kind contributions of up to VND 1,243 billion, arousing the humane tradition of "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves". Particularly for the movement of the whole country joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025, the province has supported the construction and repair of 2,005 houses, reaching 114.5% of the plan.

Notably, in the movement to promote the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure, people have highly agreed and donated land for site clearance, contributing to speeding up the progress of key traffic projects such as: Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, Ring Road 3, Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City.

The commendation work at the State and provincial levels achieved impressive numbers, including Medals of various types for 113 collectives and individuals; Medals of various types for 12 individuals; Government Emulation Flags for 62 collectives; Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister for 1,029 collectives and individuals; National Emulation Fighters for 2 individuals.

Speaking at the congress, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council Vo Tan Duc said that the Patriotic Emulation Congress of Dong Nai province is an important milestone, affirming a new development step of the emulation movement and reward work, demonstrating the continuation and promotion of good traditions and achievements and results gained in recent years.

The Congress will arouse and promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, creating motivation to successfully implement the goals and tasks according to the resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels, building Dong Nai into a civilized, modern, internationally integrated province with rapid and sustainable development, and entering a new era with the whole country.

On this occasion, the congress also honored and rewarded typical, advanced, exemplary and excellent collectives and individuals; launched the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2025-2030 and approved the list of delegates to attend the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress - 2025.
