General Secretary To Lam welcomed and highly appreciated the Lao leaders' attendance at the ceremony, demonstrating the special, loyal, and rare solidarity between the two Parties and two countries. Laos' sending of a delegation of Lao People's Army soldiers to participate in the parade and march with the Vietnamese army and people is a great encouragement for Vietnam.

Throughout the revolutionary cause, every victory of the Vietnamese people has been associated with the wholehearted support and assistance of the Lao Party, State and people. Vietnam always appreciates and deeply remembers that valuable support.

The General Secretary highly appreciated the decision of the Lao Party and State to recognize the "Truong Son Trail - Ho Chi Minh Trail on Lao soil" as a national historical relic.

This is an event of special significance in preserving and promoting historical values, demonstrating respect and honoring the solidarity and close bond between the armies and people of the two countries. At the same time, this is meaningful in commemorating and paying tribute to the tens of thousands of Vietnamese and Lao soldiers and youth volunteers who have devoted and sacrificed on the legendary route, while also contributing to affirming the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. The relic is a red address for educating revolutionary traditions, fostering patriotism and solidarity for future generations.

General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith affirmed that the victory of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945 was a great driving force for the cause of national liberation in Laos, while strongly encouraging the revolutionary movement and struggle for peace of oppressed peoples around the world.

He shared that he clearly felt the passionate patriotism of the Vietnamese people when witnessing the vibrant and proud atmosphere of the entire Party, people and army of Vietnam in recent days...

The two leaders had a trustful, sincere and frank exchange on orientations and measures to promote cooperation. The two countries need to increase consultations, exchange experiences, and coordinate and support each other to overcome difficulties and challenges.

Besides enhancing cooperation in politics, defense, and security, the two sides agreed to make efforts to raise the level and create breakthroughs in economic cooperation, promote two-way trade turnover, and strengthen economic infrastructure connectivity.

Many investment projects of Vietnamese enterprises in Laos in the fields of energy, agriculture, telecommunications, infrastructure, etc. are bringing practical results. The two countries are coordinating to implement strategic infrastructure projects, including connecting transport infrastructure, energy, etc.

Meeting with Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that the delegation's participation is vivid proof of the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.

Reviewing the heroic revolutionary history, the National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the glorious revolutionary cause of the Communist Party of Vietnam, every journey and every victory of the Vietnamese people cannot be separated from the great support and assistance of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the brotherly Lao people.

The Lao General Secretary and President was impressed and congratulated Vietnam on the great, important, and comprehensive achievements it has made over the past 80 years. Vietnam's success is a source of encouragement, motivation, and valuable lessons for Laos in the process of national construction and development.

The Lao Party General Secretary and President affirmed that the relationship between the two National Assemblies is an important factor contributing to the overall success in the good relations between the two countries.

Lao leaders hope that both sides will cooperate and coordinate closely to monitor, promote and improve the quality and effectiveness of the cooperation agreement. Both sides need to exchange and share experiences in legislation; and support and back each other at regional and international forums.

He thanked the Vietnamese National Assembly for its assistance and sharing of operational experience with the Lao National Assembly.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos which has made many remarkable strides.

In particular, the two countries' National Assemblies are coordinating to compile and publish the book "50 years of relations between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Lao National Assembly - Comprehensive Development Cooperation" to summarize the cooperation process, achievements, lessons learned, and at the same time contribute to improving the effectiveness of coordination in the new period.

The Vietnamese National Assembly will increase information sharing, coordination and support for Laos at international and regional forums; and is ready to share experience and provide professional support in areas of strength.
