Dear comrades!

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the National Border Committee (October 6, 1975 - October 6, 2025), on behalf of the Party Committee Standing Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , I would like to send my warmest regards and best wishes to all cadres, civil servants and employees of the National Border Committee through the periods.

Not long after the country was unified, on October 6, 1975, the Border Committee of the Government Council was officially established. This was a historic decision, demonstrating the strategic vision and close attention of our Party and State to territorial border work.

The past half century has been a difficult, challenging but also extremely glorious and proud journey of the National Border Committee. Promoting the tradition of solidarity, resilience and outstanding efforts, the Committee has excellently completed the tasks assigned by the Party and the State, actively contributing to the planning and demarcation of land and sea borders, firmly protecting the independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Fatherland, building a peaceful, stable and developing border between Vietnam and neighboring countries. On behalf of the Party Committee Standing Committee and the Ministry's leadership, I acknowledge and commend the exceptionally outstanding achievements that generations of cadres, civil servants and workers of the National Border Committee have achieved over the past 50 years.

Entering a new era, an era of national growth, in the context of extremely complicated developments in the world and region with intertwined opportunities and challenges, border and territorial work has become more important than ever.

I request the National Border Committee to continue to promote its glorious tradition of solidarity, bravery, loyalty, and put national and ethnic interests first and foremost; constantly innovate, create, improve capacity and work efficiency, and focus on effectively implementing key tasks entrusted by the Party and State. In border and territorial work, it is necessary to be steadfast in principles, flexible in strategies, creative in implementation, know how to take advantage of opportunities, promote early, decisive, and sustainable resolution of outstanding issues with neighboring countries, and properly handle arising issues.

In addition, it is necessary to do well the work of strategic research and forecasting, proactively grasp and forecast closely and accurately the regional and world situation, especially issues related to borders and islands, promptly advise the Party and State on appropriate policies and strategies; coordinate well the work of managing and developing the socio-economy in border areas, using development cooperation to stabilize relations with neighboring countries, contributing to strengthening political trust, expanding friendly exchanges and economic cooperation in border areas; strengthen information and propaganda work on borders and territories both domestically and internationally, promote the strength of great national unity, and combine national strength with the strength of the times.

The National Border Committee needs to pay more attention to building a team of cadres and civil servants with high professional qualifications, strong political will, dedication and devotion to work, to meet the increasingly high requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Wishing the National Border Committee to continue to achieve many new victories, making even greater contributions to the cause of building and firmly defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, bringing our country into a new era - an era of prosperous and powerful development of the Vietnamese people.
