The gala was attended by leaders of Quang Tri province, the Border Guards of the two countries and the authorities of Sepon district (Savannakhet province, Laos). Notably, 200 Lao students and teachers crossed the border to attend, creating a warm atmosphere of friendship and the full moon.

The children were fascinated by the lion dance, performing arts, folk games and received thousands of meaningful gifts. The organizing committee presented more than 1,300 gifts, 18 bicycles, 1 television, with a total value of more than 400 million VND. On the same day, at the 591st border marker, the “Border Lesson” helped more than 400 students on both sides of the border understand more about the special tradition of solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.

On this occasion, the Quang Tri Border Guard also coordinated to organize 33 "Border - Mid-Autumn Festival" programs across the two border lines and Con Co special zone, giving 13,500 gifts with a total value of more than 2.7 billion VND.
