On the evening of October 4, at Thang Long Trade Center (Budapest), the Vietnamese Association in Hungary organized the 2025 Community Mid-Autumn Festival for teenagers, children, and overseas Vietnamese living, studying, and working in Hungary.
Attending the event were Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Bui Le Thai, along with many officials, staff and families of the Embassy, community members, Vietnamese associations, parents and children.
Speaking at the program, Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Bui Le Thai emphasized the profound meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is not only a children's festival but also an occasion for family reunion, for the whole family to gather and share the joy of reunion, for the young generation to understand more about national culture and preserve the good values of Vietnamese culture even though they are living far away from the Fatherland.
In the bustling, warm and joyful atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Ambassador Bui Le Thai emotionally said: “The moon in the sky of Budapest today is also the moon that our loved ones are looking at in their homeland. Each moon cake, each lantern is not only a taste of childhood, but also a thread connecting us to our national roots.”
Ambassador Thai expressed his trust and hope in the young generation, recalling the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh : "Whether Vietnam becomes beautiful or not, whether the Vietnamese people can step up to the stage of glory to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world powers or not, depends largely on your studies"; at the same time, he affirmed that the Embassy always cares, encourages and motivates in a timely manner so that the children can strive to study well, become filial children in the family, excellent members of the community and useful citizens for the country.
