In recent days, Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi - Vietnam's representative at Miss Grand International 2025 has been criticized after her roommate's inappropriate comments on livestream. The incident has seriously affected her image, causing her votes in the Miss Popular Vote category to be at 0%.

Yen Nhi has now completed two sub-competitions: Grand Talent and Grand Talk . She will continue to participate in the remaining rounds such as Swimsuit Competition , National Costume and Closed Interview before entering the semi-finals on October 15 and the final on the evening of October 18 in Bangkok (Thailand).

Previously, the Vietnamese representative had posted a letter of apology to the audience for her incomplete statements, expressing her wish for the public to understand and continue to support her in her upcoming journey. However, a private conversation with inappropriate language continued to spread immediately after that, causing the wave of criticism towards her to show no signs of cooling down.
