Garena announces first online tournament with huge prize money of more than 8 billion VND

Garena will host the Arena of Valor Premier League (APL) 2020 tournament with the participation of professional Arena of Valor Mobile teams from Southeast Asia and Chinese Taipei.

There are a total of 14 teams participating in APL 2020 selected from top professional tournaments including: Arena of Glory (AOG - Vietnam), ROV Pro League (RPL - Thailand), AOV Star League (ASL - Indonesia) and Garena Challenger Series (GCS - Chinese Taipei). The tournament has a total prize money of more than 8.1 billion VND. Of which, the champion team will receive a prize of nearly 4 billion VND, the runner-up team will receive a prize of nearly 1.7 billion VND.

APL 2020 takes place from June 19 to July 26 and is played entirely online. Fans can watch the entire tournament live for 20 days with the following specific schedule:

Vietnam has 4 teams participating in APL 2020 based on the achievements at Viettel 5G Arena of Glory Spring 2020 including: Team Flash, Saigon Phantom, HTVC IGP Gaming and FAPtv. The final match of "Viettel 5G Arena of Glory Spring 2020" will take place at 2:00 p.m. on May 24 to decide whether Team Flash or Saigon Phantom will become Vietnam's number 1 seed to participate in APL 2020.

This tournament is jointly organized by Garena and Tencent. Thus, this is the first time in history that teams will come together to dedicate and compete for the championship in an online tournament across continents.
