This is the second consecutive month that Gia Lai province ranked 6th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide in terms of service index for people and businesses (in July 2025, Gia Lai province also ranked 6th out of 34 provinces and cities in terms of service index for people and businesses).

The report of the Provincial People's Committee at the conference showed that the socio-economic situation in August in the province achieved many positive results. Specifically: Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in August is estimated at over 18,200 billion VND, up 1.4% over the previous month and up 23.3% over the same period; in the first 8 months, it reached over 132,000 billion VND, up 12% over the same period...

In the construction sector, 8 key projects of the province were simultaneously started and inaugurated, contributing to creating momentum to promote the socio-economic development of the province.

Also in August, the province attracted 12 new investment projects with a total registered capital of over 16,800 billion VND; including 4 FDI projects with a total investment capital equivalent to 243 million USD. Accumulated from the beginning of the year to the end of August, the province attracted 135 investment projects with a total registered capital of over 74,300 billion VND, mainly in the fields of industry, construction - infrastructure, trade - services - tourism ...

The socio-cultural situation in the province continues to have many positive changes. Social security work is guaranteed, people's lives in the province are basically stable. National defense and security are maintained; political security and social order and safety are firmly maintained.

According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee Office, from July 1 to August 31, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned 1,336 tasks. Of which, departments and branches have completed 639 tasks and are handling 697 tasks.

Regarding the results of the index of service to people and businesses, by August 31, Gia Lai province achieved 85.5 points (an increase of 8.48 points compared to July 2025) - in the Good group, ranked 6th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide.

Gia Lai province ranked 3rd in the country in terms of progress in completing the targets of equipping facilities for the Public Administration Service Center at the commune level. The province's online application rate reached 85.94%, ranking 13th out of 34 provinces and cities.

Building AI applications to support leadership and management

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan acknowledged the efforts of the entire political system and the results achieved in implementing the 2-level local government model in the past time. At the same time, he requested to focus on achieving the set economic and social targets, especially the development targets in the fields of agriculture, industry - construction, trade, services, tourism, budget collection, disbursement of public investment capital, etc.

Chairman Pham Anh Tuan affirmed that the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee always accompanies the business community, creating the most favorable conditions to promote investment, production and business activities. The government focuses on solving difficulties of businesses on the basis of dialogue, transparency and compliance with the law.

“Departments and branches should play a good role in accompanying businesses, considering the development of businesses as the development of the province. Focus on accelerating site clearance, ensuring conditions for starting new, large-scale, breakthrough projects in 2025…”, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan noted.

Regarding the implementation of the 2-level local government model, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested that local leaders must grasp the work. At the same time, they must proactively lead and direct the implementation of assigned tasks; clearly assign tasks, ensure strong implementation of decentralization and delegation of power from the province to communes and wards. Focus on timely and correct resolution of regulations and policies for subjects in the implementation of arrangement and streamlining of the political system's apparatus...

Along with preparing conditions for organizing major events in the coming time, the Chairman of Gia Lai province emphasized the review and update of the database for 135 communes and wards in the province, including socio-economic development indicators and data of communes, wards and the province; building AI applications to support the direction and management of all levels and sectors.
