Two women died from drowning in the Van Phong dam area, Gia Lai

On October 7, the leader of Binh Phu Commune Police confirmed that in the commune (at the Van Phong dam area), a drowning incident had just occurred, killing two women.

According to initial information, at around 9:00 p.m. on October 6, Binh Phu Commune Police received a report that people discovered Ms. NTBNh (born in 1993), residing in Hoa Son, Binh Phu, and Ms. NTTNg (born in 1990), residing in the same locality, fell into the Con River, in the Van Phong dam area, in Hamlet 3, Hoa Son.

Immediately after that, the authorities and local people organized a search, and at about 9:30 p.m. the same day, people recovered Ms. NTBNh's body. At about 8:30 a.m. on October 7, the authorities found Ms. Ng's body at a location about 1 km away from where Ms. Nh's body was discovered.

Local authorities have visited and expressed condolences to the two families of the victims. Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
