USD price at commercial banks increased to the highest level ever

USD price at banks increased sharply on the afternoon of April 11, the highest ever.

The USD/VND price at commercial banks this afternoon, April 11, increased sharply by 30-50 VND compared to the previous session. Currently, banks are selling at 25,145-25,175 VND/USD. This is the highest listed price at banks so far.

As of 4:30 p.m., VietinBank increased its buying and selling prices by 52 VND compared to the previous session's close, currently trading at 24,872-25,167 VND/USD. Vietcombank also increased its buying and selling prices by 50 VND in both directions, currently trading at 24,800 - 25,170 VND/USD (buying - selling).

Similarly, BIDV also raised the USD buying and selling price to 24,845-25,155 VND/USD, an increase of 45 VND compared to the end of yesterday. Agribank announced from 24,845-25,155 VND, an increase of 50 VND.

The USD selling price at many private joint stock commercial banks also set a new peak.

Eximbank also announced an increase of 50 VND, currently this bank is trading from 24,760-25,150 VND.

Techcombank increased 45 VND for buying and increased 50 VND/USD for selling, to 24,816-25,143 VND/USD (buying - selling).

Sacombank listed the USD price at 24,795-25,145 VND/USD (buy - sell), up 50 VND/USD compared to the previous session.

Meanwhile, ACB raised the USD price to 24,800-25,150 VND/USD (buy-sell), up 40 VND/USD for buying and up 45 VND/USD for selling.

Domestic USD exchange rates increased simultaneously in the context of the greenback strengthening in the international market, after the newly announced US inflation data for March 2024 was higher than expected.

The central exchange rate announced by the State Bank on April 11 was 24,046 VND/USD, up 10 VND compared to yesterday's session. With a 5% band, the current USD exchange rate that commercial banks are allowed to trade is from 22,844 - 25,248 VND/USD.

At the exchange, the State Bank increased the USD selling price by 11 VND to 25,198 VND/USD and kept the buying price unchanged at 23,400 VND/USD.

Since the beginning of the year, the USD price at commercial banks has increased from 700-750 VND/USD.
