Exchange and introduce Don ca tai tu to students

(CTO) - On the evening of October 9, Can Tho University organized an exchange and introduction session on the art of Southern amateur music.

The two speakers of the program are researcher and composer Nham Hung and meritorious artist Nguyen Thi Kieu Nga (Deputy Director of the Center for Culture and Arts of Can Tho City).

Hundreds of students of the Tourism Department of Nam Can Tho University participating in the program were introduced by the speaker about the history of formation and development of the art of Don ca tai tu; the characteristics of this art form and the differences compared to vong co and cai luong. Composer Nham Hung also delved into the topic "Don ca tai tu in the tourism space" and Meritorious Artist Kieu Nga with her performances and demonstrations of Don ca tai tu, which received enthusiastic responses from teachers and students.

In particular, composer Nham Hung spread the message to students of the Tourism group that they should pay special attention to ethnic culture, Mekong Delta culture, especially Don ca tai tu because this is a necessary luggage for anyone working in tourism in the Mekong Delta.

Previously, composer Nham Hung and Meritorious Artist Kieu Nga had a similar exchange at Can Tho College of Tourism.
