Introducing Vietnam tourism in major cities of China

From October 20-28, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in coordination with the Tourism Development Support Fund organized a program to introduce Vietnamese tourism in Beijing, Chongqing and Chengdu (China). Thereby, renewing the image of Vietnamese destinations with the message: "Vietnam - Endless beauty - Authentic experience, living with green heritage".

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Vietnam and China are two neighboring countries with many cultural similarities and close geographical locations. The two countries have maintained close tourism cooperation at both central and local levels, with a flexible system of direct and charter flights.

The organization of the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Program in China in 2025 is expected to create a special resonance effect, continuing to spread the image of the country, people, culture and tourism of Vietnam to the Chinese public. Thereby, contributing to the goal of increasing international visitors and strengthening the country's soft power in the new period.

At the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Program in Beijing, Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration Nguyen Trung Khanh shared: The unit wishes to work with Chinese partners to promote the existing bilateral and multilateral cooperation platform, promote sustainable tourism development, and exploit the rich potential of resources, culture and people of each country.

The two sides will support each other in tourism promotion, organize events to introduce destinations, increase exchanges of business delegations, press and experts, and create favorable conditions for tourists from both countries to travel, experience and explore .

Along with that, Vietnam wishes to closely coordinate with China in managing the quality of tourism services, developing infrastructure, training human resources, and digital transformation in tourism management and promotion, towards forming a smart, safe, and sustainable tourism cooperation environment.

Within the framework of the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Program in China, many business-to-business (B2B) meetings and connections have been taking place. The event creates opportunities for travel, accommodation, and airline businesses from both countries to exchange and expand partnerships.

The highlight of the program is the introduction of new tourist visa policies, outstanding products and destinations; information on Vietnam's tourism infrastructure, stimulus programs, and marketing orientation for the Chinese market. At the event, the aviation network between the two countries and many preferential product packages were also mentioned. In addition, there was a lucky draw for air tickets, tours, and resort vouchers sponsored by Vietnamese localities and businesses.

The program introducing Vietnamese tourism in China also brings visitors unique cultural experiences through traditional and modern art performances. Through these performances, Chinese people have the opportunity to better understand the cultural identity of Vietnam.

On this occasion, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism also organized meetings and worked with Chinese tourism management agencies, associations, airlines, major tourism businesses and marketing partners to enhance cooperation, expand connections and promote joint promotion between the two countries.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism expects that tourism promotion activities in the cities of Beijing, Chongqing and Chengdu will create a "jump" in quantity and quality for the Chinese tourist market for Vietnam. Not only will the number of visitors increase by at least 20-30% in 2025, this activity also promises to restructure the tourist flow towards high value such as: MICE tourism, golf tourism, wellness tourism and high-end experiences.

At the same time, the program is a launching pad for public-private partnerships in promoting and transforming destination marketing digitally on Chinese platforms and long-term cooperation in products, routes, and communications. Through this, Vietnam will return to the top market group of Chinese tourists with sustainable and effective growth and the ability to spread the economy widely.
