On October 10, Long Dien Commune Police (HCMC) coordinated with the Social Work and Protection Center, Facility 2, HCMC to collect information for special populations at the Center.
During the day, the commune police took fingerprints and collected information from 72 elderly people at the center. For the elderly, sick, and unable to walk, commune police officers went to the patient's bedside to take fingerprints and photos.

After collecting the necessary information, the commune police will look up and verify the national population database and relevant authorities to request the commune People's Committee to issue a birth certificate. From there, other types of identification documents can be made.
The Social Work and Support Center, Facility 2, located in An Thanh Hamlet, Long Dien Commune (HCMC), is currently nurturing and caring for nearly 100 lonely, homeless elderly people. Most of the elderly people admitted to the center do not have documents verifying their identity or background. They all have many illnesses, making it difficult for them to move around. Having personal documents is essential to serve the needs of medical examination and treatment and to enjoy general policies and regimes.
